With the rise of electronic communication there has been a decline in letters since 2008. Despite eCommerce boosting parcel sales, there’s fierce international competition. To reinvigorate and to become more relevant in the digital age, Australia Post reinvents the 170 year old postage stamp. Part tradition embodying the humble stamp and part technology such as the QR Code, this world first invention allowed Australians’ to send to their loved-ones around the world a 15 second personalized video message attached to a parcel. The Video Stamp is simple to use; scan the Video Stamp, attach it to your parcel and record a personalised greeting using your smartphone. When the parcel is delivered, the recipient just scans the Video Stamp and it will play your message. The Video Stamp personalised messages can be accessed through a smartphone, using the Video Stamp app or any QR code reader or online via a unique log in sent with your stamp anywhere in the world.
